Experience and Commitment

Mark Montgomery retired to Ruidoso and invested in the community, owning and running an RV park with his business partner. He has put his life into this community.

He has been using his past experience to run his business and to assist others in navigating the disaster recovery going on in Lincoln County. He has real experience not only in dealing with disasters and the aftermath of them, but also with interacting with political entities to achieve results in recovery.

Past Experience

• Employed by TDCJ for over 15 years, supervising the Parole Division including over 14 offices, 286 employees and over 25,000 parolees
• He was a disaster responder for Hurricanes, Wildfires, and active shootings, dealing with disasters both natural and manmade
• Guest instructor at the Parole Academy in Austin Texas where I taught new parole officers how to prosecute parole violations before representatives of the parole board.

Personal Life

While Mark is not a New Mexico native, he has spent much of his life in West Texas and Lincoln Count. His priorities are God, Family, and Country. He, his wife and son are proud to call Ruidoso and Lincoln County home.
